Tattoo flash 6 - a new dawn

So here we are, already a month into 2025. The last 12 months have been a roller coaster of a ride for the world in general. Although here at Balloon Ace it's all been about balloons. It always has been and always will be. We live and breathe balloons here at Balloon Ace. Despite all the changes in the world recently you can depend on upon Balloon Ace to be at the forefront of providing great balloons at low prices.

We are not not into cheesy marketing slogans but something we have used to describe our purpose in the past has been "Big balloons, small prices!". That slogan will always remain true here at Balloon Ace.

So what has 2025 got lined up for us?

Well, 2025 is the year of the snake. Not at Balloon Ace. At Balloon Ace 2025 is the year of the balloon. You may have noticed that we have started to increase our variety of balloons. Throughout 2025 we will be expanding our range of Cattex balloons. This will include more colours of existing product lines and more types of balloons.

In April we will be approaching our sixth anniversary. For the previous five years we have always featured a limited edition anniversary logo balloon. This year we are contemplating not releasing an anniversary balloon and not releasing an anniversary balloon until our tenth anniversary. This will allow us to focus our efforts on developing new and fresh designs for other logo balloons.

Due to the Belbal 14" balloon being discontinued (still available but subject to special orders with very high minimum order quantities - 100k or more balloons) we will be transitioning to other balloons for our logo balloons. We will still release new logo balloons on Belbal 14" balloons where we can but these will be limited to what stock is available to us at the time of ordering. Our initial thoughts are to utilise Cattex balloons but we also hope to use Belbal 24" balloons for some of our logo balloons. Whatever we do we guarantee that our artwork will be better than other balloon sellers and that our prices will be lower.

Throughout 2025 we will be releasing more collab balloons featuring exclusive artworks. To date we have done more collaboration balloons than any other ballon shop. We hope that in 2025 we will be taking things to the next level with some super exclusive collaborations.

We did plan to release a range of Balloon Ace merchandise in 2025. However, the implementation of GPSR 24 in the EU has resulted in delays to our merchandise plans. Therefore, we will not be releasing any merchandise until we are able to legally comply with GPSR 24 for in-house manufactured products. This kinda sucks but legal compliance and safety compliance are things which, as a company, Balloon Ace pays strict adherence to.

Back to a new dawn!

Whist the start of a new year is a rebirth, people set new year resolutions on their quest for self improvement, life fulfilment, reflection or various other reasons Balloon Ace was our rebirth. Balloon Ace was a new chapter in our life and could have been identified as our new dawn.

For those of you who have read our first blog, " The seed", will have gained an insight into  our lives and who we are. However, there is more to use than that. Our life experience has brought us to where we are but has also shaped what Balloon Ace is and how we do what we do.

As we have said before, Balloon Ace is our creative outlet. Unlike other balloon sellers we are not in this for financial gain. Following many years of working in the humdrum of the corporate environment we needed to do something to enable us to be creative and for the benefit of others.

So how does selling balloons allow you to be creative you ask?

There are two ways of looking at owning a shop; it can be an experience based solely on the transactional nature of business or it can be the challenge of developing a user experience with a goal of providing positive impact to people.

Through the years at Balloon Ace we have built websites, designed packaging, designed artwork for balloons, written blogs, collaborated with others, conducted surveys, designed subscription services (Balloon Ace Repeat) and manufactured merchandise.

Some of our efforts have been well received and others not so much. We are not afraid to fail and we will continue to try new things. The process of developing these things for your enjoyment is our expression of creativity. To remain original and authentic we follow no trends but we do hope that we inspire others. We have seen other balloon shops mimic and copy our styles. We are flattered but this drives us to be more bold and try even more new things. So our messages to the other balloon shops is "thanks for copying, it makes us work harder!".

In pushing boundaries we are hoping that February will be an exciting month here at Balloon Ace as we have many plans which for now are top secret!
